This depends on the size of the motor and state of charge, but the XP-10-HD can start regular 4 and 6 cylinder cars about 40 times or more, V8s about 30 times in a row, and Diesels about 20 times. Make sure your connections are good. ONLY jump-start Diesels with 4 lights lit on capacity indicator, or with 3 lights for starting up to V8s.
The MICRO-START XP-10-HD can charge the average cell phone about 10 times depending on the size of the cell phone’s battery. XP-10-HD has a massive 18000 mAh of capacity. It can generally charge a tablet from 4 to 6 times. This depends on the size of the tablet and if you are on the internet or playing games which uses more power.
The MICRO-START can charge a phone in about 40 minutes to one hour. It depends on the phone, and of course whether you are using the device while it’s charging. The Micro-Start XP-10-HD has two USB ports. The left side USB port has 1.1 Amp charge rate (good for smaller devices like Bluetooth headsets). The right side USB is 2.1A to charge electronics more quickly (use for larger devices such as Smartphones and Tablets).
On average the MICRO-START can hold a charge about 6 months. This will depend on the conditions the MICRO-START is stored in. Heat and cold fluctuations can affect this. It is best to check the state of charge at least once every 3-4 months.
To check the state of charge on the MICRO-START, press the power button. The XP-10-HD has 5 lighted capacity indicators which will show the state of charge. Each light is equal to 20% capacity. XP-10-HD can charge devices until no lights are lit, but should only be used to jump-start vehicles with a minimum of 3 bars lit (60% capacity).

Our MICRO-START power banks all meet the FAA criteria for Lithium batteries/external chargers allowed as Carry-On items. But they cannot be in Checked baggage. The guidelines state that consumer-sized Lithium-Ion batteries, up to 100 Watt-hours (Wh) per battery, are allowed on planes. All MICRO-STARTS are under that limit (Watt-hours is printed on the back of each MICRO-START). For more information about carry-on and portable devices, refer to the FAA website.
Please also check with your Airline before taking your Micro-Start because each Airline may have different guidelines.
For recharging the XP-10-HD itself, or for jump-starting vehicles, do Not use any other charger or clamps than the provided AC or DC chargers and Smart Clamps included with your XP-10-HD kit – damage may result. We offer replacement chargers and clamps if needed.
For charging your devices, you may use other standard cables with your XP-10-HD. For example you can use any USB cable, or universal DC cable with 5.1mm x 2.1mm Male end to plug into the 12V or 19V ports.
Due to the variety of electronic devices and the number of different connections for these devices, it is impossible for our kit to contain the proper connection for all devices. If your device uses a tip or cable that we do not include in the kit, you can usually find one that will work with the XP-10-HD at online electronics suppliers.
